By all accounts, Katy Perry has moved on from her failed marriage to Russell Brand and she seems to be stronger than ever. Her hit single “Part of Me” climbed up the charts and served as the first real sign of her new awakening in the post-Russell Brand era, and her newest single, the aptly named “Wide Awake” seems to further push home that point. Her new movie that’s currently in theaters is a success (or at least I’m going to assume it is) and she seems to be doing pretty well for herself so far in 2012.

But there was one tiny piece of their relationship that was still lingering, still hanging around, and that was the New York City penthouse that the couple shared before they visited splitsville. The 1,500-square-foot penthouse, located in the Tribeca neighborhood, cost the couple $2.75 million when they purchased it together in 2010. Located on a quaint cobblestone street (or as quaint as a New York City street can get), the condo featured high ceilings and a terrace and was listed by Perry for the same price the couple paid for it back in February, followed the couple’s divorce.

Well, almost six months later, the property has finally sold, although not exactly for the price that Katy was hoping it would sell for. It was reported earlier this week that Perry sold the condo for $2.62 million, which is roughly $130,000 below the asking price. That means that Perry took a loss, albeit a minor one. Or minor for her at least, considering her movie probably made $130,000 in the first 15 minutes after it hit theaters.

The couple also had a Los Angeles home that they no longer co-habitate in anymore, although there is no speculation yet as to what will become of that property or whether Katy has any plans to sell it yet.
